Well after the diaster of going to Zurich to watch the movie Blue.. (yes we did that!) me and my roomie Hetal decided it was time to use the candles we had bought for diwali in the evening. So we got all the candles, lighted them and placed them around in the house - on the windows, near the doors, and generally around. Then we also had the idea of drawing a small rangoli with Rice flour. The candles kept in the glass were giving out such a nice pattern in shadows.
After we had lighted 40 odd candles.. our house was really in diwali lights :D
So.. we needed to celebrate Diwali! and not just two of us alone. So we called up some friends, cooked a nice vegetable biryani with raita and had a fundu meal.
The cherry on the top was when we lighted the small funjharis got from Migros market.
A nice and quite but celebrated diwali :D
